Biography
Harmony Rose Hornback, known professionally as Harmy Rose, is a singer-songwriter, producer, and sound engineer from a small town in southern Indiana called Borden. Rose has impressed many fans with her glorified voice and rich and velvety harmonies. When she was only nine years old, she took an interest in writing lyrics to her songs. She started producing music when she was in high school after taking a pre-audio production course. Ever since then, Rose has had a strong passion in sharing her music with everyone in the whole world. From winning her high school's talent shows to performing her original music at open mics, everyone knows that Rose is remarkably talented!
Shortly going into her career, Rose attended Indiana University Southeast with a double major in Music Vocal Performance and Sound Engineering and was also in the Honors Program. During her academic career, she worked on her debut EP, titled “Fortune of Love,” as a student creative fellowship project. She released “Fortune of Love” on April 4th, which featured her first release and hit, “Mixin’ Up My Feelings.” After her debut EP release, she performed at the first annual IU Southeast Student Soundwave Showcase hosted and managed by Trevor Robinson, notably being crowned as the “Queen of Soundwave.” She was also featured on the IU Southeast radio show “Next Up… with Trevor Robinson” on Horizon Radio. Rose graduated from IU Southeast with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music.
Harmy Rose's music involves a variety of colorful chord progressions and catchy melodies that will get stuck in everyone's head. Her music also captures the hearts and minds of all her fans that find her music soothing and relaxing. Rose's intentions with her music are to allow people to express what is on their minds and to temporarily escape from reality, and she does that through her 90s-inspired R&B and soul music. Rose also allows herself to write songs that relate to her life and encourages her fans to feel the song through her deep, yet whimsical lyrics.
